Teaching all children to read necessitates that each child receives quality reading instruction and that children who struggle with reading receive additional assistance from professionals who are especially skilled in educating them. Penn Hills is committed to providing rigorous reading support by embedding a team of highly skilled reading specialists in each grade level to assist students in reading at or above grade level.

With support from the Penguins Foundation the COOL Zone serves children experiencing a range of behavioral and emotional disruptions such as: aggression, anxiety, depression, withdrawal, family disruption, emotional difficulties, traumatic responses, and more.
