Instrument Program Enrollment
Welcome to the Penn Hills Elementary Music Instrumental department. Students in grades 3-5 have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument in the orchestra or the band. Due to the size of instruments only 4th and 5th graders can choose a band instrument, but all students grades 3-5 can play a stringed instrument in the orchestra.
Students enrolled in the program:
- Must furnish their own instrument (the school does not provide instruments)
- Receive a group lessons once a week
- Practice their instrument at home between lessons
- Participate in school day performances for students and staff in the building
- Participate in nighttime performances for family and friends.
- Must maintain good grades and behavior to continue to participate in the program once enrolled.
