Chorus

Chorus is for students in grade 4 and 5.  Chorus is a fantastic opportunity to begin developing the young voice.  In class, we will learn vocal techniques that include vocal warm-ups, physical warm-ups, vocal exercises, solfege, sight singing, music reading, 2-part harmony, memorization, expression, and choreography.  Your student will be part of an ensemble that works together to create a harmonious vocal experience.  Students involved in the chorus program are expected to have good school attendance, good behavior, a good work ethic, work well with others, have good grades and be responsible.  Participation in the choral program will be reviewed if grades and/or behavior fall below expectations. 

Chorus enrollment happens 2 times per year.  Students may sign up in September and January each year.  Students that enroll in September participate for the entire school year.  The chorus performs 2 public concerts per year; one in December and another in May.
