Important Update: Wind-Down of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

We are reaching out with crucial information regarding the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a valuable resource for many of our families. Below, find detailed updates and guidance on how the upcoming changes may impact you.

What You Need to Know

  • End of Full Funding: April 2024 marks the last month of full funding for the ACP discounts. This federal program has offered eligible households discounts on internet bills and devices to support connectivity for education, work, and more.

  • Enrollment Freeze: As of February 7, 2024, new enrollments in the ACP have been halted. If you were enrolled by this cut-off, you would continue to receive benefits until the program concludes.

  • Partial Funding for May: In May 2024, some providers may offer a reduced ACP discount. This is not guaranteed. Check with your provider for specifics.
  • Post-May 2024: Without further funding from Congress, the ACP will cease to provide discounts.

Immediate Actions and Your Options

  • Stay Informed: Keep an eye on communications from your internet service provider for updates on your service and any changes to your billing due to the ACP wind-down.
  • Consider Your Needs: If you wish to continue internet service after the ACP ends, explore lower-cost plans or switch providers without incurring termination fees. You're not obligated to maintain your current service level or provider.
