This decision marks a transition from our current platforms, Securly and LanSchool, to a comprehensive suite offered by GoGuardian for classroom device monitoring and device-level filtering. This change is aimed at enhancing our digital learning environment, ensuring our students benefit from a more interactive, engaging, and secure educational experience. 

Why GoGuardian?

The selection of GoGuardian as our new platform was not made lightly. It came after a thorough and successful pilot program led by our dedicated building technology assistants, Barry Plowman, Brittany Schmidt, and Rick Staley. Their expertise and hands-on experience with the software underscored its effectiveness in creating a more controlled and conducive learning environment, prompting us to make this pivotal switch.

GoGuardian Teacher and Admin stand out for their user-friendly interfaces, robust monitoring capabilities, and comprehensive filtering options. These features empower educators to guide, protect, and monitor students' online activities more efficiently, ensuring they can safely harness the vast resources of the internet for their learning.

A Seamless Transition

Understanding the importance of familiarity and ease of use for both our staff and students, we are pleased to announce that GoGuardian is already deployed on the Chromebooks used within our school. This immediate availability allows teachers and students to familiarize themselves with the platform's features and functionalities well ahead of the new academic year.

Furthermore, we are working diligently to extend GoGuardian's capabilities to other devices in our digital ecosystem. Compatibility with Surface Go's and iPads is currently in the pipeline, with availability expected soon. This expansion will ensure a unified experience across all our digital learning tools, further enhancing our educational offerings.

In line with our commitment to collaborative growth and development, we are extending an invitation to all teachers to explore GoGuardian at any point during the remainder of this school year.
