PHamily Fun Fest Returns August 15 to Kick Off the New School Year

The Penn Hills School District invites all students, families and community members to celebrate the start of a new school year at PHamily Fun Fest on Saturday, August 15, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Penn Hills High School.

The free community event is designed to help families prepare for the upcoming school year while enjoying an afternoon of fun, entertainment and valuable resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from each Penn Hills school, learn about district programs and explore community organizations that support local families.

Students and families can enjoy a variety of activities, including inflatables, an open gym, technology demonstrations, performances by the Penn Hills Marching Band and Cheerleaders, and a special appearance by the Pittsburgh Pirates Parrot. Free food will be available for the first 500 attendees, and the first 150 children ages 18 and under will receive a free Kona Ice. Penn Hills swag and school supplies will also be distributed while supplies last.

Students in grades 6-12 can take advantage of early iPad pickup, giving them one less thing to worry about before the first day of school.

Whether you're returning for another year or joining the Penn Hills School District community for the first time, PHamily Fun Fest is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet school staff and get ready for a successful school year.
